I’ve just got to level 250 on Animals and Coins, meaning I’ve earned £115 through Swagbucks! I had 27 days left, too, so got through it pretty quickly.
I’ve got some tips for how to level up quickly on Animals and Coins and how to to deal with the Sammy Jackpot game, so you can gain some real money like me!
Understanding Swagbucks
With the Swagbucks app, you can earn cash or points by doing surveys, taking part in online shopping deals, completing offers or playing mobile games. It’s a great way to make some extra money in your spare time. You can get some PayPal cash or free gift cards.
In this offer, you can earn up to £115 on Swabucks by getting to level 250 in Animal & Coins.

About Animals & Coins
Animals & Coins is a simple and engaging game of constructing bridges to cross the whimsical landscape.
The Art of Bridge-Building
To construct a usable bridge, you’ll need to carefully gauge the distance between islands and release the energy button at the precise moment. Overshoot and your character will plummet into the abyss, squandering valuable resources. Undershoot, and you’ll be left stranded, unable to progress.
Once you build a ‘perfect’ bridge three times, you unlock the auto-mode feature, where the game automatically constructs flawless bridges for a limited duration. This means you don’t waste energy and it’s also good when you’re watching TV or doing other tasks.
Energy
Each bridge you construct depletes a portion of your energy reserves, so you have to strike a balance between progress and conservation.
Fortunately, the game provides many opportunities to replenish your energy stores. From energy links shared on social media to daily login bonuses and promotional offers, there are numerous ways to keep your journey fueled without the need for in-app purchases.
Getting Gold
Coins is the currency that fuels your island-building, allowing you to construct and upgrade structures, unlock new characters, and progress. You have to build around 7 structures on each island to level up.
To maximize your gold acquisition, complete each island in its entirety before moving on, as this will protect your hard-earned resources from the prying hands of rival players. Other players can attack your island, meaning you have to spend more gold to repair it. But they can’t do this if you haven’t built anything on it yet!
Work out how much you need to fully complete the island and don’t upgrade until you’ve got that amount saved! Also, make sure when you leave the game, you don’t have a lot of gold left, or others will steal it.
Stealing and Attacks From Others
With Animals & Coins, you can steal and attack other players. Use slingshots and the steal board minigame to get money of other players. You can even get revenge and attack players who have also attacked you.
Unlocking the Potential of Multipliers
With Animals & Coins, you can use the multiplier option to increase your rewards by ‘betting’ more energy. This means you get coins and prizes faster. But don’t use high multipliers until you have thousands of energy spare.
As a rule, I would only use the X25 multiplier if I had over 5000 energy, X50 if I had over 10000 and X100 if I had over 20000. Otherwise, your energy depletes quickly and you have a lower chance of getting rewards to get prizes for the daily.
How To Get Energy
There are multiple ways to get energy and you want to have a good grip of them all. When using energy, don’t focus on just gaining coins to level up, you should also know where your next lot of energy is coming from in the minigames. If you get to the point where you won’t be able to hit the next milestone in the minigames to get energy, then stop playing until they reset.
Piñata Pandemonium
Smash open a piñata to get rewards. You get bats from playing the main game, or from watching adverts and use these to destroy the piñata. This minigame resets every 24-48 hours. It starts only needing a few, then you need 100’s and even 1000’s of bats to get the next rewards.
Card Collecting
As you progress through the islands, you’ll gradually unlock access to cards, each representing a unique aspect of the game’s lore.
By completing entire sets, you get rewards such as gold, energy boosts and gems. You can buy chests with your gold to get extra cards or trade with other players. Though you can’t trade gold cards!
If you’re lucky enough to get a Joker card, you can select any card you wish, including gold. This is great news as some cards are rare to get (such as delicious pear!).
Minigames and Events
Animals & Coins always has limited-time minigames, events and tournaments. You can go up against other players collect trophies and win money and energy if you come top. There are milestone events, digging and diamond events.
The same events cycle again and again, so although it feels like a lot at the start, you soon get used to it.
Again, pay attention to the timers and know when to stop playing until they reset.
Jackpot Sammy
Jackpot Sammy is a minigame where you pick a cup and get a prize, or get a snake which means you lose. You can exit at any time. If you live, you win the prizes you’ve earned so far. Or you can keep going and try to get to the top, but risk losing everything.
Once you get a snake, you have the option of watching an ad or using gems to bypass the level.
I found that the snake almost always appeared on the third go. So if I didn’t have many gems to use, I would quit after I watched the ad. If I had gems to use, I would wait until I got the snake the second time and then quit. Otherwise, you lose everything.
I don’t think it matters what cup you press, I am sure it’s rigged so don’t continue unless you have a lot of gem to spend! If there’s suddenly a level that has 15k energy up for grabs, I can guarantee you will get the snake! The higher the prize, the more likely the snake.
Tips and Tricks
Animals & Coins may seem like an easy game, but you have to do some strategic thinking to make sure you have enough energy to get to level 250!
Resource Management
In animals & Coins, gold is the resource that allows you to progress through the level. But your stash is vulnerable as other players can steal it through mini games. The best way to prevent this is to spend your gold before you log off. Make sure you fully complete an island and have little gold left before you leave the game. This means people can’t attack your island and still your gold.
The same goes for the daily rewards you can claim, as well as minigames like piñata smashing or milestone rewards. Don’t claim the gold rewards until you are ready to use them! Although you can save energy and gems.
Navigating Jackpot Sammy
Jackpot Sammy is a game of chance with substantial rewards. You can earn a lot of gold and energy in this mini game. But as any game like this, the odds are NOT in your favour and it set up to tempt you to spend your real money to progress. It might be tempting to spend money if you are going to earn £115 from Swagbucks anyway – but you don’t need to.
The best approach is to ascend to the tier with no snake, claim your winnings, and promptly exit the game. I usually play until I get one snake, then I can watch and ad or spend a few hundred gems to continue. The next snake costs 1000’s gems to bypass, so always exit because you get to this point unless you have over 8k gems and expect to spend thousands.
I can guarantee you will get a snake on the third level 95% of the time. I am positive it is rigged!
Increasing Bet Mulitplier
In Animals & Coins, there is the ability to increase your bet level, amplifying both your energy consumption and potential rewards. Though if you don’t have a lot of energy left, it’s best to stick to low bets.
As a rule, I would only use the X25 multiplier if I had over 5000 energy, X50 if I had over 10000 and X100 if I had over 20000. Otherwise, your energy depletes quickly and you have a lower chance of getting rewards to get prizes for the daily.
In the early part of the game when I didn’t have much energy, I would stick to X3 or X5.
Adding Friends
You can add friends on Animals & Coins, this allows you to trade cards to get rewards faster, or play the partner event. If you are struggling to find friends to play with you, you can join the multiple Animal & Friends trading groups on Facebook.
You can also connect your Facebook to the game which will add any friends already playing.
Keeping Energy Up
The key in this game is to keep your energy in the thousands. I got to the point in playing where my energy was always over 20000. At the start of the game, this seemed impossible. But for my, the key lied in the event at the top centre of the screen. This is where you earn rewards for collecting certain items.
Like everything else in the game, it scales up quickly. You little rewards for a few items, then the rewards get bigger and better as you need more and more. When you get to the point where you cannot meet the goal that gets your energy, then you need to stop playing. This meant that I would sometimes go 24 hours without playing – but keep my energy for when it reset.
As a rough rule of thumb, you need about twice as much energy to get the points you need. So if you need 10000 of the items to get to the next goal, you need about 20000 energy banked.
I also used this method with the other minigames – if the piñata was soon to reset, or the digging game or diamond game, just wait until they reset. The idea is that you always need to be working towards your next big energy payout – if there isn’t one attainable, stop paying.
By using this method, I started having about 5k energy saved before I stopped for resets, then next time I could get the higher prizes and then had 10k and so on. I had over 30k energy saved at some points in the game!
I also made use of the ‘stage rush’ games, where you get extra prizes for completing levels.
Complete All The Free Claims
You can claim daily free rewards or watch ads for rewards. Make sure you do all of these. The game is ad heavy so it’s a good idea to do the crazy slides while watching the TV or while doing something else. These countdown, too, so make sure you complete them before they expire.
The crazy slides one is good as you actually end up with quite a lot of energy! Even if you have a lot banked already, still claim the free energy.
Log On Regularly
Even if you know you have to wait 24 hours until a minigame resets – make sure you log on regularly to check the free claims. You can also randomly get Jackpot Sammy when you log on.
Use The 20% Discount Wisely
If you have a 20% discount hammer to claim in the free claims or milestone challenges, make sure you bank a lot of gold first. As soon as you claim it, it starts counting down. So bank your gold and wizz through some levels with 20% off!
The same goals for the steal board game, you can earn a x2 gold multiplier here. Only claim this when you are then going to play the game so you can earn most gold.
Don’t Spend Money
The game is set up with loads of ads and offers to try and make you spend real money. Espcially if you are close to reaching a milestone to gain more energy, you might be tempted to buy an energy pack to get there. But be patient, know when to stop and never spend your money on this game! You have plenty of time to complete it.
How Much Time Does It Take?
If you’re wondering how much time it takes to get to level 250, the below are screenshots from my screentime. As you can see, it took 26 hours and 48 minutes across 13 days. It does seem time intense but most of the time I was doing something else at the same time while it was in automode.
For example, I might be doing housework or playing piano while the ads played, and came back to the phone every couple of minutes. Or have it play on automode while I answered emails or watched TV. It can be somewhat passive but it does need your to click on things every couple of minutes.
Good Luck
Animals & Coins seems quite complicated to start with, as there’s so many minigames and ads. The constant popups at game loading feel annoying and intrustive. But you soon get used to it.
Just remember to know when to save your energy and wait for a minigame reset and you’ll get to level 250 in no time! And don’t spend your own money!
