II started playing Coin Master because it was one of the Swagbucks offers — reach Village 160 within 30 days and earn around 90,000 SB. That’s a decent payout if you can get there, but 160 villages in a month is genuinely fast and you need to know what you’re doing to pull it off.
If you’ve played Animals and Coins or Monopoly Go, you’ll recognise the general shape of Coin Master — spin a slot machine, collect resources, build your village, repeat. The mechanics aren’t complicated. What trips people up is how they manage their spins, especially in the early villages when resources feel tight.
Here’s what actually makes the difference.

Understand the event cycle before anything else
The single thing that makes the biggest difference to how fast you progress is learning to play around events rather than just spinning whenever you have spins.
Coin Master runs rotating events constantly — Raid Madness, Attack Madness, Village Master, and so on. During these events, your spins produce better rewards or trigger bonuses that compound on top of each other. Spinning outside of events burns through your spins for standard rewards. Spinning during the right events gives you dramatically more for the same number of spins.
The pattern works exactly like Animals and Coins: as you play into an event, the milestones get harder and harder to reach before the event resets. Once you’ve passed the point where the next reward isn’t achievable before reset, stop. Wait for the reset, start fresh on the easy early milestones again, and build up your spin bank.
It sounds counterintuitive to stop playing when you’re on a roll, but this is how people end up with thousands of spins saved rather than constantly running on empty.
Collect free spins every single day
You get 50 free spins per hour automatically, up to a cap of around 100 if you let them build. Beyond that, there are a few free spin sources you should be collecting from daily:
Daily links — Coin Master posts free spin links on their social media pages (Facebook, Instagram, X) every single day. These give between 25 and 70 free spins each. Search “Coin Master free spins today” and you’ll find them collected on fan sites if you don’t want to follow all their accounts. Claim them within 3 days or they expire.
Watch video ads — There’s an option in the game to watch short ads for extra spins. It’s tedious, but if you’re trying to push through villages quickly, it’s free spins without spending anything.
Friends and Facebook — Connecting your Facebook account lets you send and receive spins with friends. If you have friends playing, this is worth doing.
Doing all of this consistently keeps your spin count higher than just waiting for the hourly top-up, and more spins means faster village progression without spending money.

Build your village efficiently
Each village has five buildings, each of which you upgrade through multiple star levels using coins. To move to the next village, you need to fully upgrade all five buildings in the current one.
A couple of things that help:
Upgrade evenly. Don’t max out one building while leaving others at low levels. Upgrade all five in parallel — it gives you more stars overall and means you can move to the next village as soon as you’ve gathered enough coins, rather than waiting for one bottlenecked building.
Build immediately when you have the coins. The main reason villages take longer than they should is people spinning for more coins when they already have enough to build. Check your village screen regularly and upgrade whenever you can.
Keep shields active. You earn shields from the slot machine. Each shield absorbs one attack from another player — without one, players can damage your buildings and you’ll need to spend coins repairing them. Repair costs are annoying and slow you down. Keep at least one shield up whenever possible.
Raids and attacks are coin sources, not distractions
When you spin and land on a raid or attack symbol, lean into it — don’t skip or play passively.
For raids: you’re digging at another player’s village for coins. You get three picks, and the layout of where the coins are hidden varies. There’s no trick to it, but some events boost raid rewards significantly, so raids during Raid Madness events are much more valuable than normal ones.
For attacks: hitting another player’s village damages their buildings. Beyond being part of the event scoring, attacks don’t give you direct coins. What they do is push you up the event leaderboard, which unlocks bonus rewards.
The main strategy is simple: save your spins for when these events are active and the rewards are multiplied, rather than spending them on normal days.
Card collections are worth finishing
As you spin, you collect cards. Completing a full card set earns big rewards — extra spins, coins, sometimes pets. Card trading happens through Coin Master Facebook groups, where players swap duplicates to complete their sets.
If you’re playing seriously, joining one of these groups and trading your duplicates is worth doing. Completed sets give rewards that would otherwise cost a lot of spins to earn organically.

The one thing to know: gold cards can’t be traded. If you’re stuck on a gold card, you have to wait and hope it appears through spinning or events.
What about spending real money?
You don’t need to. Getting to Village 160 within 30 days is achievable on free spins if you manage them well — collecting daily links, playing through events correctly, and not burning through spins outside of event windows.
The paid spin packs are expensive for what you get and the value per spin is poor compared to doing it the slow, free way. If you want to speed things up, spending £3-5 on a small spin pack during a sales event (they discount frequently) is better value than buying at full price, but it’s not necessary.
The short version
If you want to move through villages as fast as possible: collect the free daily spin links every day, spin primarily during events rather than between them, stop playing each event once you’ve hit all the rewards you can actually reach before reset, upgrade your village buildings evenly, and keep shields up. That’s genuinely most of it.
It’s not complicated once you see the pattern — it just takes a bit of patience at the start while you learn when to play and when to wait.
